Faith makes all things possible...love makes things easy. Kahlil Gibran
In today's world, medical science can do the seemingly impossible. It can identify elusive diseases, treat serious conditions and extend life. Yet for all the advances of medicine, what is often missing is compassion -- the human touch, the healing hand and the thoughtful care of another.

That's where Mercy Community Health is different. A faith-based organization that promotes wellness, embraces diversity and enhances quality of life, Mercy Community Health is committed to both excellent medicine and compassionate care. With that commitment comes an emphasis on health and wellness, healthy lifestyles and an overarching goal to provide stable, compassionate support as our residents, clients and patients journey through their lives.

We offer outstanding medical and support services to assist older adults at every stage of their lives. Yet because we follow in the tradition of the Sisters of Mercy, we also emphasize respect for human dignity. The result is an environment dedicated to meeting each person's medical and spiritual needs.

Mercy Community Health's organizations offer complete services to individuals of every faith, including:

  • Independent living for seniors
  • Assisted living
  • Home health care
  • Skilled nursing care
  • Short-term rehabilitation and sub-acute care
  • Adult Day Center, a medical model program
  • Outpatient rehabilitation services
  • Alzheimer's/dementia care
  • Case management
  • Senior education and wellness programs
  • A wide variety of supportive services

Sponsored by the Sisters of Mercy of the Americas - Northeast Community and a member of Catholic Health East, Mercy Community Health was created in 1997 to bring together four exceptional organizations: Saint Mary Home, The McAuley, Mercy Community HomeCare and Mercyknoll. Collectively, these communities can offer our clients a continuum of care on one 60+ acre campus in West Hartford, Connecticut.
