The structured and supervised dementia care unit at Saint Mary Home provides an atmosphere of respect that highlights the dignity and uniqueness of each resident within the context of his/her dementia.

Our dementia services are individualized to meet each person's potential and are designed to achieve realistic goals. The specialized Saint Mary Home dementia program focuses on:

Family support is an important part of this special care unit. Through a resident-care conference and resident's care plan, Saint Mary Home educates, informs and engages family members and caregivers regarding the progression of the dementia disease and the increased disabilities that may occur. Family support groups and involvement in decision-making, as well as ongoing education of the family, is integral to the functioning of this unit.

The Saint Mary Home dementia care unit offers outstanding quality and support.
