Auction Updates

Former PGA Tour Player Michael Colandro will serve as the Honorary Chairperson of Mercy Community Health's Circle of Mercy Golf Outing, to be held Monday, June 16, 2008 at The Hartford Golf Club in West Hartford, CT. "We are privileged to welcome Mike into the Mercy Community Health family," said William J. Fiocchetta, President and CEO. "He has a deep appreciation for our mission to promote wellness, embrace diversity, and enhance quality of life, and he understands that our annual Outing raises funds for precisely that purpose."

Michael Colandro is the 1987 Champion of the Air New Zealand Shell Open and 1992 Payless Victorian Open. He won the Connecticut Open in 1986 and again in 1991. In addition to his successful career as a professional golfer, Mr. Colandro is principal of Colandro Golf Services in Cromwell, a writer, and an entertainer. He will host a clinic at the Hartford Golf Club for participating golfers prior to the Circle of Mercy Outing's official start time.

The Circle of Mercy Outing will once again feature the JetBlue Challenge, which provides registrants with the chance to win travel and recreation prizes including an all-expenses-paid Caribbean Cruise. Mercy Community Health added a new online auction to this year's event.  Prizes including a hot-air balloon ride were awarded online to winning bidders; one luxury package --a trip to California Wine Country-- will go to bid at the live auction held during the Outing dinner.

The tournament will be a scramble; registration begins at 11:00 a.m. and the shotgun start is at 12:30 p.m. on Monday, June 16. For more information, please contact Christine Looby, director of community relations, at 860.570.8305 or clooby@mchct.org.
