Mercy Community Health to Screen The HBO Alzheimer\'s Project During November 2009
Mercy Community Health welcomes the public to view the final segment of HBO Documentary Films' four-part series The HBO Alzheimer's Project on November 24. It will be shown at 6:30 p.m. in the Saint Mary Home Auditorium and will be followed by a discussion facilitated by Patty O'Brian, North Central regional director of the Alzheimer's Association and Eileen Cleary, director of dementia education for Saint Mary Home. Admission is free of charge, but those who plan to attend are asked to make seating reservations in advance by calling 860.570.8305 so that an appropriate amount of refreshments can be prepared.

"As an organization committed to helping clients, residents and family caregivers with the challenges dealt by Alzheimer's Disease and related dementia, we couldn't be prouder to have this opportunity to raise awareness and provide hope for prevention and treatment."
Professional clinicians and non-professionals whose lives have been affected by Alzheimer's Disease or dementia are encouraged to attend, view and discuss. The Saint Mary Home Auditorium is located at 2021 Albany Avenue; guests are encouraged to enter the parking lot on Steele Road near the American flag.
The Alzheimer's Project was created by the award-winning team behind HBO's acclaimed Addiction project and is presented by HBO Documentary Films in association with the National Institute on Aging of the National Institutes of Health, the Alzheimer's Association, The Fidelity Charitable Gift Fund, and Geoffrey Beene Gives Back Alzheimer's Initiative. The series is produced by John Hoffman and executive produced by Sheila Nevins and Maria Shriver.
