Mercy Community Health's Medical Director, Frederick N. Rowland, Ph.D., M.D., CMD, has been elected to a two-year term as Secretary of the Board of Directors of the American Medical Directors Association.  Dr. Rowland also serves as Chief of the Section of Geriatric Medicine at Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center in Hartford . 

 

Dr. Rowland trained for both his Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences/Immunology and his M.D. at the University of Connecticut Health Center, where he remains on the faculty of the Center on Aging.  In July, a study he co-authored was published in the Journal of American Medical Directors Association (www.jamda.com/article/PIIS1525861009001984/fulltext .)
