The Mercy Community's Gateway Project to Commence July 15

Access to The Frances Warde Towers Entrance and Lobby at Saint Mary Home will be temporarily curtailed this summer as the project to enhance accessibility and security gets under way.  As of July 15, colleagues, volunteers and visitors to Saint Mary Home will be re-routed to an alternate entrance.
"We apologize for any inconvenience the construction may cause," said Mercy Community Health President and CEO Bill Fiocchetta, "but in the end, those who come to Saint Mary Home will be most pleased by the results of the work we'll be doing over the course of the next several weeks.  We have an expert team creating a main entrance and lobby that will be so much easier for guests and emergency personnel to navigate, and we'll be upgrading many of our personal safety systems.  Our goal is to continue to provide a secure, accessible gateway to the Mercy Community for all."
The Gateway Project is made possible by the Catholic Health East Heritage Fund, New Alliance Bank and the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving.  Completion of the remodeled Frances Warde Towers Entrance and Lobby is scheduled for September 2010.
